This was a descent into madness and back in under ten minutes. Brilliant pacing. I laughed way too hard at “I am chaos. I am the planner. You are the planned…disaster.”
"Tell, Smell! I smell my own fury right now. It's all over me and all over everything in this stupid, one-bathroom hole." 😂😂😂 I had to take a crying break at that point-- and it wasn't the only one!!
Great stuff, my friend, and I could identify with the incoherence, self-absorption, and paranoia!! Loved the surprise ending, never saw it coming!! 👍👏😂
LOL. I’m glad you enjoyed it, Mark. Yes, it kind of sums up so much about modern life. I really think any of us could be him on the right day. Thank you so much for reading, man.
I wondered if Andy would have any energy left to act on his threats after that rant. Loved the ending, a nice big slice of humble pie. Great job, Parker.
Hahaha I can't! I had to read it twice and laughed equally hard at the end! That short sentence, written so matter-of-factly. And that "thanks" was the cherry on top!
It just shows what Aching Andy is really like when he finds himself in a stressful situation.
Oh, and by the way! The writing reminded me a lot of two books, both by Hubert Selby Jr. - The Room and Waiting Period. They're characterized by a resentful stream-of-consciousness type of rant, as it were.
Loved the story, Parker! Thanks so much for posting it! I'm looking forward to your next story!
Hehe. I’m glad you got some laughs out of it, Chris. Yes, Andy can fall apart sometimes. Haha. I’m going to have to check those books out. Stream-of-conscious funny rants are hard to beat. Thank you so much for your kind words. You rock, man.

LOL. Why thank you, sir. It’s a total meltdown.
Loved it. I think we’ve all been in a position of anger over a misunderstanding…maybe not to this level, but I felt that ending 😂
LOL. Yeah, I mean, he probably went way further than most, but I know I’ve had days like that. Thank you so much for reading.
absolutely sensational ending. Loved it!!
Haha. Thank you so much, Frog. I appreciate you reading and I’m very glad you enjoyed it.
Excellent. Love the abrupt ending.
Hehe. Thank you, Jim. I love abrupt endings. Thank you for reading.
