Thank you so much, Britt. That’s some great insight. I have been working more on atmosphere lately. I feel like I don’t work on it enough. Thank you so much for reading and commenting.
You can trust a friend but never trust Glenn the Friend. Hehe. Yeah, I thought it was a good way to wrap things up. Hehe. Thank you so much for reading and commenting, Chris. Your support is awesome.
I love the way you name your characters, Parker: Glenn the Friend, Cub, Bear, the beards (black, white, and gray). It cracks me up. Good thing for Glenn the Friend that Fairfax wasn't around. He would have caught him.
Hehe. I look at it like I’m out somewhere and I see people or encounter them even and pick a name out for them in my head and then when I tell somebody about the experience, I use a made-up name for them. They’re usually more interesting than their real names anyway. Someone could look at my story thumb nails and call me “stick figure guy” and I’d be fine with it. It’s a lot of fun coming up with those names. I’m glad you like them. Hehe. Yes, ol’ Glenn is no friend and Fairfax would definitely sniff him out. But get ready because Glenn is not going anywhere. Hehe. Thank you so much for reading and commenting, KC.
It’s a gritty, atmospheric story that really makes you feel the cold outside and the heat of the conflict inside.

Wow, Glenn was so hospitable to his guests from the Windy City.. until he wasn't heh The last sentence was a killer way to end the chapter. Loved it!

Good old Glenn. I’ll forever be on the lookout when the bartender starts pouring himself a drink. Nicely done, Parker.
Glenn the Friend is no friend. To anybody. Hehe. I’m glad you enjoyed it, Ricky. Thank you so much for reading and commenting.
"...they swore that he was the best damn bartender Tennessee ever produced, which sounded kind of like a compliment." Hah!
LOL. I mean, as much as Tennessee is known for great bartenders, it’s got to be a compliment. Maybe.
😉
A timely twist. Watch out in Tennessee!
Hehe. Cubs fans, beware. Thank you so much for reading and commenting, Steve.
Nicely done!
Hey, I appreciate that. It was a fun one to write. Hehe. Thank you so much for reading and commenting, Bon.
